Richard Tavernor has been promoted to the position of Finance Director

Richard Tavernor has been promoted to the position of Finance Director with effect from 17th March 2022. The announcement comes as the group continues to grow and is on track to increase its turnover again in the current financial year.

Chairman of Clowes Developments, David Clowes commented,

Richard’s extensive experience and expertise have already proven instrumental in successfully navigating the business forward, especially within the Finance team. We believe Richard has the right drive and values to further bolster our highly experienced team.

Richard joined Clowes Developments in January 2021 as Head of Finance after a 30-year career in supply chain logistics & aerospace. As Finance Director, Richard leads a large team of finance professionals and has ownership of financial reporting, treasury management and corporate governance across 50 group companies.

Commenting on his promotion Richard said,

Clowes Developments is one of the UK’s largest privately owned property Groups. It has continued to deliver several standout developments over the past year, including the new £800 million mixed use Fairham site south of Nottingham, and has a healthy pipeline of sites and projects for the next 10-15 years. The Group have also recently reported a landmark deal worth in the region of £100million to develop six logistics facilities totaling just short of 1million sq ft with UK insurance giant NFU Mutual.

Clowes holds over 3,000 acres of land and 15,000 residential plots in 130 development sites across the country, including more than 50 office and business parks.
