Bringing opportunity to life as Clowes Developments promotes two Surveyors to Associate Director

Clowes Developments have promoted two Surveyors to Associate Director. Hannah Bailey and Kevin McFarlane have been working towards the promotion over the past couple of years and were formally appointed on the 1st September 2021.

Kevin McFarlane worked for the Clowes Group early on in his career. In 2010 he moved to Bulleys Chartered Surveyors in the West Midlands for a period of 7 years. He then re-joined Clowes in 2017 and embarked on his journey to become an Associate Director. Kevin heads up the Asset Management Team at Clowes and manages a growing team of experienced and highly regarded Surveyors who take care of the Groups vast asset portfolio. The team manage £10 million of income and ensures the risks associated with the management of those assets are minimised. Clowes holds over 3,000 acres of land and 15,000 residential plots in 130 development sites across the country, including more than 50 office and business parks.

Hannah Bailey was born and bred in Ashbourne, Derbyshire which is also home to the Group’s impressive headquarters at Ednaston Park. Hannah joined Clowes Developments in April 2018 and has undertaken various development projects alongside Development Director, James Richards. Prior to working at Clowes, Hannah worked at Walgreen Boots Alliance as a Management Surveyor in the Estates Team and before that worked in the Professional Consultancy Department at FHP.

Hannah’s professionalism and innate commercial awareness has proven a real asset since she joined my team in 2018. Her ability to keep projects on track and take care of the diverse needs of our design and build clients has been impressive to say the least. The projects she has led on have been delivered on time and to spec on every occasion. She has a rare skill in being able to orchestrate construction, agent and legal processes to deliver relatively seamless transactions time and time again.
Clowes Developments is one of the UK’s largest privately owned property Groups. It has continued to deliver several standout developments over the past year, including the new £800 million mixed use Fairham site south of Nottingham, and has a healthy pipeline of sites and projects for the next 10-15 years. The Group have also recently reported a landmark deal worth £100million to develop six logistics facilities totalling 1million sq ft with UK insurance giant NFU Mutual.
