Ali Malik and Thomas Clowes have been promoted to the position of Director with effect from 17th March 2021. The announcement comes as the group continues to grow and is on track to substantially increased its average turnover in the current financial year.
Chairman of Clowes Developments, David Clowes commented,
It is great to officially welcome Ali and Tom to the Board of Directors. Their youth and expertise will prove instrumental in successfully navigating the business forward. We believe both Directors have the right ethos and vision to help bolster our highly experienced team.
Ali Malik joined the group as Head of Infrastructure in 2019. Ali has 20 years of design consultancy experience in looking after projects from their initial concept through to planning and delivery. One of Ali’s most significant projects at Clowes to date is the delivery of £100million of infrastructure at Fairham. The 606-acre site on the southern edge of Nottingham boasts world-class connectivity and will become the region’s prime commercial and residential destination. The scheme will help provide new employment opportunities across the region as well as assisting Rushcliffe Borough Council in meeting its new homes target of 13,500 dwellings by 2030.
Tom has a degree in Planning and Property Development from Nottingham Trent University. Tom works on both small- and large-scale projects, including Fairham, where he is proud to be involved in a project which demonstrates how sustainable development can benefit everyone when carefully planned and brought forward.
Clowes Developments is one of the UK’s largest privately owned property groups. It has continued to deliver several standout developments over the past year, including the new £800 million mixed use Fairham site south of Nottingham, and has a healthy pipeline of sites and projects for the next 10-15 years. The group have also recently reported a landmark deal worth £100million to develop six logistics facilities totalling 1million sq ft with UK insurance giant NFU Mutual.
Clowes holds over 3,000 acres of land and 15,000 residential plots in 130 development sites across the country, including more than 50 office and business parks.
