Blaby District Council gives Stoney Stanton Business Park the green light

Stoney Stanton Business Park given the green light

2020 was undoubtedly a testing time for all. Lockdown periods affected a number of planned industrial and distribution schemes throughout the Midlands which significantly delayed the development of much needed stock.

There is, however, some good news to kick start 2021. Clowes Developments’ Stoney Stanton Business Park is another step closer following approval of the reserved matters application by Blaby District Council in December 2020. The scheme will provide 7 industrial/warehouse units which are set to be further subdivided to provide 18 units.

Works are scheduled to begin at Stoney Stanton Business Park following the satisfaction of pre-commencement conditions. Contractors will be onsite by Q2 2021.

Agent, Tim Gilbertson of FHP Property Consultants commented,

The positioning of the scheme is great. Stoney Stanton is located just off the M69 and therefore provides efficient access to the A5, Hinckley, Leicester plus the M1.

As this scheme offers buildings from as little as 2,500sq ft to over 16,639sq ft. All the units are available to buy or rent, this will fill a real gap in the market.

Agent, Mike Allwood of Andrew & Ashwell added,

Three of the units are already ‘under offer’ and there is an extremely high demand for commercial stock in and around the area. Despite the general economic uncertainty, demand for smaller industrial and warehouse units both to buy and rent in the Leicestershire and East Midlands market has remained strong. Our enquiry sheets for this site are full and we are confident this development will be a positive scheme for the area.

Stoney Stanton Business Park will be built out speculatively and to the highest standard. All units will be available on a freehold or leasehold basis providing interesting opportunities for occupiers and investors. Adjoining units can also be combined.

Developer, Dominic Jackson of Clowes Developments commented,

Gaining the reserve matters planning consent has provided a good end to what has been a challenging year. We are eager to keep momentum going and start on site at the earliest opportunity. We are confident that with our proven track record and the expertise of the team involved in this project we will deliver another quality development and hope to attract a wealth of suitable occupiers to the scheme. Whilst interest in the business park is high, we encourage all enquiries to be directed to our agents, FHP Property Consultants and Andrew Ashwell who will be happy to provide more information about the scheme.
