There is plenty to celebrate within the Finance team at Clowes Developments, with four members of the team achieving significant milestones in their professional development and careers with the business.
Oliver Clements – First Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Exam Passed
Finance Apprentice Oliver Clements has made an excellent start on his AAT journey, successfully passing his first AAT level 3 exam.
As part of his Finance apprenticeship, Ollie attends college one day a week alongside his role at Clowes. Since joining the business in July 2026, Ollie has balanced his studies with his day-to-day responsibilities within the Finance team.
Sebastian Gaskill – Progressing to AAT Level 4
Fellow Finance Apprentice Sebastian Gaskill has also reached an important milestone, successfully passing his fourth and final AAT level 3 exam Seb will now move on to level 4 which he aims to complete by Christmas next year.
Like Ollie, Seb attends college one day a week as part of his apprenticeship, combining his academic studies with valuable practical experience within the Finance department.
Huw Staples – Continuing His Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Journey
Huw Staples is continuing his journey towards becoming a qualified management accountant, having successfully completed the CIMA Operational Level. He is now officially eligible to use the designation of CIMA Dip MA (diploma in management accounting).
Huw is studying towards his CIMA qualification in his own time, demonstrating a strong commitment to his professional development alongside his role within the Finance team.
Having completed the Operational Level, Huw will now progress to the Management Level, before eventually moving on to the Strategic Level. His achievement is testament to the dedication and hard work he is putting into developing his knowledge and expertise.
Marcus Hall – Celebrating 10 Years at Clowes
There was also a significant career milestone for Finance Manager Marcus Hall, who is celebrating 10 years at Clowes.
Marcus joined the business as an apprentice and has progressed through the Finance team over the past decade, building his experience and developing his career to become Finance Manager.
His journey is a great example of the opportunities available to those who begin their careers through an apprenticeship and continue to develop their skills and experience within the business.
A Team Committed to Development
From apprentices taking their first steps in accountancy, to colleagues progressing through professional qualifications and celebrating a decade-long career with Clowes, these achievements demonstrate the importance of learning, development and progression within the Finance team.
Richard Tavernor, Finance Director, said:
“Congratulations to Huw, Ollie, Seb and Marcus on their achievements and milestones. It’s fantastic to see the continued development of our Finance team and the commitment each of them show towards their careers and the group. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for them.”
