Taking place on the evening of 28th October and throughout the day on 29th October 2026, the Derbyshire Christmas Fair promises a magical celebration of the festive season, bringing together independent businesses and traders from across the UK. The event offers visitors the perfect opportunity to discover unique gifts and produce ahead of the Christmas frenzy, which will enviably begin in the weeks that follow. Alongside spreading seasonal cheer, the fair will also raise vital funds for an important charitable cause.

Parkinson’s UK’s Nurse Appeal helps fund specialist Parkinson’s nurses across the UK, providing expert care and vital support to people living with Parkinson’s and their families. These nurses play an essential role in helping people manage symptoms and medication, offering emotional and practical support, coordinating care between healthcare professionals, supporting carers and families, and helping to reduce unnecessary hospital visits.

For many people living with Parkinson’s, a specialist nurse is often their main point of contact throughout their condition, offering reassurance, guidance and continuity of care when it is needed most.

Funds raised through the appeal help ensure more people can access these specialist services, while also supporting training, research and wider community programmes delivered by Parkinson’s UK.
