Clowes Developments Announces Parkinson’s UK as 2026/27 Chosen Charity

Clowes Developments are proud to announce that Parkinson’s UK has been selected as the group’s Charity of the Year for the financial period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, following its annual employee-led nomination and voting process.

Each year, employees are invited to nominate charities they feel passionate about. These nominations are carefully reviewed to ensure alignment with the Group’s values before being put forward to a company-wide vote. This inclusive and collaborative approach ensures the chosen charity reflects causes that resonate with the team.

Parkinson’s UK is the leading charity supporting people affected by Parkinson’s, a progressive neurological condition that impacts movement and other vital functions. The organisation works tirelessly to fund groundbreaking research, provide expert information and support services, and campaign for better health and care provision. Approximately 166,000 people in the UK are currently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and many more family members and carers affected, the charity plays a vital role in improving quality of life and driving progress towards a cure.

Clowes Developments Managing Director, Thomas Clowes, commented:
“I am delighted to see that our team has chosen to support Parkinson’s UK for the next 12 months. There were a number of outstanding charities shortlisted, and any one of them would have been a worthy beneficiary.

I would also like to take this opportunity to celebrate the success of our previous fundraising year. From 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, the group raised over £65,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, our former charity partner. It was an extraordinary year, highlighted by the ‘Charles Clowes Decade Dinner’ held in memory of my father and our Group’s founder. The event marked 10 years since his passing and provided a meaningful opportunity for my sister and I to raise funds for a charity close to our hearts in his honour. We are incredibly grateful to all employees, supporters, and donors who contributed to this achievement.

I am also pleased to confirm that our annual charity quiz will return in support of Parkinson’s UK. Our team will share further details in due course.”

Jo Berry, Community Fundraiser Manager at Parkinson’s UK commented:

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Clowes Developments as their Charity of the Year. This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of Parkinson’s and bring people together to make a real difference. We’re incredibly grateful to the Clowes team for choosing to support Parkinson’s UK, and we’re excited to work together over the coming year to create meaningful impact for everyone affected by the condition.”
