Derby County Community Trust’s Black and White Ball is returning this summer, following a highly successful inaugural event in 2023.

Taking place at the exclusive Osmaston Park, the event will be proudly sponsored by last year’s hosts – Clowes Developments.

The event will take place on Thursday 11th July 2024, and will shine a light on the vast range of projects delivered by the football club’s charitable arm.

The night will provide guests with the opportunity to hear directly from those who have benefitted from Derby County Community Trust’s work.

Their wide remit of delivery ranges from supporting children and young people with their mental wellbeing to enabling individuals in their recovery from substance and alcohol misuse to take the next steps in their journey, and from providing sporting opportunities to those living with a disability to opening up career pathways for teenagers not in education, employment or training.

Current projects undertaken by the Community Trust have directly combatted the rise of cost of living, supported women living through the menopause, and most recently, they have launched a new project to support the LGBTQ+ community.

Fundraising for the charity is especially vital in these challenging times of economic uncertainty, when for many people demand for the organisation’s support is only increasing.

David Clowes, Derby County Football Club’s owner and Chairman at Clowes Developments, said:

“I’m delighted that Clowes Developments will be sponsoring the 2024 Black and White Fundraising Ball. Last year was an enormous success, and it’s an honour to be involved in the event again this year, which we hope will raise further essential funding for the Community Trust.

“The Trust is a special organisation that benefits so many people within our community and it’s a privilege for us to help out, especially in our 60th year of business. Supporting charities and local initiatives has always been a focus for the group.”

Simon Carnall, Head of Community, said:

“We’re really excited to bring back the Black and White Fundraising Ball after such a fantastic event in 2023, which raised £26,000 for our programmes.

“Our staff work tirelessly to provide opportunities for all, right across Derbyshire, and this evening will show our guests just how much we can achieve when we come together.

“Working alongside our colleagues at the football club and Clowes Developments, the evening will provide a fantastic chance to learn more about our wide-ranging delivery, accompanied by a three-course meal and fundraising initiatives.”

Guests can look forward to a night of fun and fundraising, with three-course meal provided by local suppliers and Trust Partners Butler’s Pantry. Tickets start at £125, or £1,125 for tables of 10, and are on sale now at www.derbycountycommunitytrust.com.
