Viking Park, Congleton is progressing at pace

Contractor, J.C. Balls & Sons have been powering on with ground works at the brand-new mixed-use development on Viking Way in Congleton.

Site owners, Clowes Developments instructed ground works contractors J.C. Balls back in May and since then, large plateaus have been created and infrastructure works are progressing well, despite challenging weather conditions.

Lead construction contractor, TanRo are on-site co-ordinating preconstruction works and prepping for the delivery of ‘Viking 103‘ at Viking Park. The 103,222sq ft industrial unit will comprise 98,272sq ft ground floor warehouse, 2,547sq ft ground floor office and 2,403sq ft first floor office space and is being marketed on a freehold or leasehold basis through agents Williams Sillitoe and Harris Lamb.

Meanwhile, a planning application has been submitted for a proposed new local retail centre which will be anchored by a new Aldi food store together with a drive through Starbucks and a further retail unit, which will also be built on a speculative basis by Clowes.

On completion, Viking Park will deliver up to 175 homes by Bloor Homes, a 20,500sq ft supermarket, as well as 36,800sq ft office facilities and 219,500sq ft of industrial units.
