Castlewood Business Park sets the scene with new units

We have obtained planning permission to expand our class leading Castlewood Business Park at Sutton in Ashfield in Nottinghamshire.

A new 41,500 sq ft manufacturing unit is due to be built at Castlewood and is set to open in 2021.

The building will be built to a high specification, including BREEAM Good and EPC class A standards.

It will provide new employment opportunities for Nottinghamshire and the wider region.

It will be the first of up to four new units planned for the business park, the remaining three of which require planning permission from Bolsover District Council. Part of the Castlewood site sits within Ashfield District Council area and part of it is in neighbouring Bolsover District.

Castlewood Business Park is located at the very heart of the country, next to junction 28 of the M1 motorway and provides excellent access to the whole of the UK. It is adjacent to East Midlands Designer Outlet Village and is less than ten miles from Mansfield.

Current occupiers include Alloga, Bombardier, Co-Op and Parker Knoll.

James Richards, director at Clowes Developments, said:

We are continuing the success story of Castlewood Business Park with this next generation unit and are very happy to have been able to work with Ashfield District Council to secure planning permission despite the challenge of the current circumstances.

We firmly believe demand for best in class distribution, manufacturing and logistical units in a location such as this will remain buoyant. When the economy bounces back we want to ensure we are have the right units available in the right location to help local, national and international businesses grow and contribute to by providing local employment.”
