CWC becomes Clowes Developments as growth continues

National property company CWC Group has revealed a rebrand and name change to Clowes Developments.

A new visual identity has been created along with a brand position of ‘bringing opportunity to life’. This is based upon the unique abilities of the business to act quickly and decisively and its track record of achieving innovative, principled and flexible deals.

The evolution of the brand underlines the company’s historic roots and widespread recognition as a ‘Clowes’ business. It comes as the Derbyshire-based company recorded record-breaking financial results for the last financial year (2018-19) in which turnover climbed to £116 million and profit surpassed £39 million.

The new name and look reflects the position of the business as a national development, asset management and land acquisition and promotion company. Crucially, the way Clowes works provides the agility and flexibility needed to respond quickly to opportunities as and when they arise.

Clowes Developments is one of the UK’s largest privately owned property groups. It has continued to deliver several standout developments over the past year, including the new £800 million mixed use Fairham site south of Nottingham, and has a healthy pipeline of sites and projects for the next 10-15 years.

Clowes holds over 3,000 acres of land and 15,000 residential plots in 130 development sites across the country, as well as more than 50 office and business parks and a number of larger mixed use sites such as Fairham.

The new brand has been developed for the company by Core Marketing which was tasked with changing the perception of the business from a regional focus to one with a more national and international approach.

Founded by Charles Clowes in 1964, Clowes Developments has flourished over the years to become one of the largest privately owned property companies in the UK.
